Two killed in Pak. shelling

Jammu
Feb. 9.
A woman and a police officer were killed and six persons injured in shelling by Pakistani troops in the forward area of Poonch district in Jammu region today.
Police sources told The Hindu that the troops resorted to unprovoked shelling near the Line of Control in Balakote area of Mendhar sector in the afternoon and it continued till late evening.
The victims were identified as Shehnaz Hussain and Moulak Shah. Four of the injured are women, who have been admitted to the local hospital. The other two are police personnel serving in the area. One of them, who was seriously injured, was airlifted to Jammu.
