World Cup
An avid fan of cricket, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Monday expressed his desire to see the Indian cricket team come out triumphant in the World Cup 2003 in South Africa. ``Of course, we in India would very much like our `Boys in Blue' to win,'' Mr. Vajpayee said while inaugurating the International Youth Conference on Terrorism. In an oblique reference to the controversies that preceded the cricketing extravaganza, he pointed out to the spirit of internationalism pervading the cricketing world, with the start of the World Cup tournament. ``No matter which team wins, cricket will win... the spirit of oneness will win.''
