Boys in blue must return with cup: PM

NEW DELHI FEB. 10. An avid fan of cricket, the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, today expressed his desire to see the Indian cricket team come out triumphant in the World Cup 2003 in South Africa.

"Of course, we in India would very much like our boys in blue to win," Mr. Vajpayee said while inaugurating the International Youth Conference on Terrorism.

In an oblique reference to the controversies that preceded the cricketing extravanganza, he said "no matter which team wins, cricket will win... The spirit of oneness will win."
