Believers told to strive for peace

By Our Staff Reporter

PATHANAMTHITTA Feb. 10. Noted theologian from Singapore, Alfred Yeo, has called upon believers to strive for peace, love and

universal brotherhood by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in the society.

Dr. Yeo was delivering a religious discourse at the afternoon session of the annual Maramon convention on the sandbed of the river Pampa at Maramon near Kozhencherry today.

He said that man should first shed his ego, realising that whatever power he got was nothing but a gift from the God Almighty. What the essential spirit of the gospel of Jesus Christ was love and universal brotherhood and the believers were supposed to spread his preachings in an effort to spread the philosophy of love, he added.

Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa presided during the forenoon session. Bishop Thomas Mar Themotheos and the Malaysian evangelist, Dennis C. Dutton, addressed the afternoon session.
