India wants to project Pak. in certain light: Jilani

New Delhi Feb. 10. The expelled Pakistani Charge d'Affaires, Jaleel Abbas Jilani, who left here for Islamabad today, alleged that his expulsion was part of India's policy to term the "Kashmir struggle" as a terrorist movement and project his country in a "certain light".

"The charges against me are false and the motivation behind it is the continuation of India's policy to project Pakistan in a certain light and to term the Kashmir struggle as a terrorist movement," he said before leaving New Delhi for Amritsar from where he will cross over to Pakistan through the Wagah border point. "India wanted to avoid dialogue with Pakistan," he said adding that the Indian Government's decision to stay away from the proposed SAARC Summit in Islamabad had caused "sadness" in the region.

Advocating the need for negotiations between the two countries, he said, "as long as Indo-Pak. relations remain as an extension of the domestic politics, we cannot really achieve any progress. We will have to delink it in case we wish to resolve the issues".

Both nations should stop the "blame-game" and resolveeir issues through talks, he said.
