Politics of defection

Sir — The politics of defection, as being witnessed in Uttar Pradesh, is most distressing. Though the anti-defection law was aimed at eradicating the evil practice, it clings on with added vigour.

In Uttar Pradesh, defectors have been inducted into the council of Ministers. Is this not a clear case of corruption?
