Sir, The bottled water industry has received a jolt with the findings of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) that most brands contain pesticides above permissible level. As the Ministry of Science and Technology has confirmed this, suitable remedial action needs to be initiated. Also, it is time the urban middle class thinks twice before consuming large quantifies of branded soft drinks, a habit which is fashionable but not completely safe.
