Suspect flees

JAMMU FEB. 11. Altaf Hussain, one of the suspects in the Rajiv Nagar carnage in which 29 persons were killed by two terrorists on July 13 last year, today gave the slip to the police in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu region.

The DIG (Rajouri-Poonch), S.S. Bijral, said: " A person belonging to Surankote, who was a suspect in the Rajiv Nagar carnage, has given the slip to the police.'' He added that the person was not an accused, but only a suspect.
