Rhodes was seen by team physio Shane Jabaar and X-rays indicated he had broken a carpal. Rhodes, who went to see a specialist after he damaged the middle finger of his right hand in the match against West Indies at Newlands, had sufficient protection on the injured right hand before he took the field against Kenya. South Africa's captain Shaun Pollock said: "It's certainly a concern for us at this stage. We will wait for the news from the specialist.''
