Hand over undisputed site to Nyas: Singhal

AYODHYA FEB. 13. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today warned that if the Centre did not hand over the undisputed site to the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, the latter would be forced to adopt tough measures.

The Centre and it had no right to keep the land, the VHP working president, Ashok Singhal, said.

The Centre should hand over the land to the Nyas, failing which the sants and the VHP would be forced to take harsh decisions at the World Hindu Conference to be held at Gorakhpur soon, he added.

Prior to leaving for the conference, Mr. Singhal told UNI that it would be an insult to the Hindus if the Ram temple was not constructed. The sant's campaign for temple construction had the full support of the VHP.

He alleged that the so-called "followers of secularism" received financial aid from other countries and used it to curb Hindutva.

"Had the organisations such as the Bajrang Dal been formed earlier, the `jehadis' would never have been successful in the country."
