Move on oil prices deferred

NEW DELHI FEB. 16. Oil companies today decided to defer a decision on the revision of the prices of petrol and diesel.

``All oil companies are monitoring the developments in the Gulf region with renewed hopes that the U.S. allies may defer an attack on Iraq. The oil companies considered the volatile situation in the international oil market along with other factors and decided to watch the price situation for this fortnight,'' senior officials of the oil companies said.
