World Cup
After its convincing victory over the Netherlands, England is ready to take on any side in the World Cup even though it is running out of chances after forfeiting a match against Zimbabwe, captain Nasser Hussain said. "Any one-day game that you win in 23 overs is a comprehensive victory against anyone," he said. Playing its first match, England defeated minnows Netherlands by six wickets, first restricting it to 142 and then overhauling the score with the loss of four wickets in 23.2 overs. Asked if he was concerned about other teams who have a points advantage over England, Hussain said: "I am not concerned about anything, not after winning in 23 overs. No." "At some stage even if we carry on through we would have to beat one of the major sides anyway. Even if we had gone to Zimbabwe and won we would have had to beat a major side," he said.
