They said that foul smell was emanating from the accumulated filth and the ground had become a breeding place for mosquitoes. Mr. Venkatachala and the Deputy Commissioner, Ashwath, expressed surprise that silt was being dumped there. They said land had been identified near Krishnarajapuram for dumping silt and debris and it was unfair to dump them elsewhere.
