Letters to the Editor
Sir, As summer has started, one way to conserve resources will be to make alternate Saturdays full working days while declaring the intervening Saturdays as holidays for educational institutions. In this way, electricity and water could be conserved. In fact, only a five-day week had been planned in schools to relieve the crowd in public transports. But some school started special classes and these were converted to regular classes on the pretext that portions could not be completed in time. S. Lakshmi Kanthan, Coimbatore, T.N.
