A dedicated coach

Former Australian cricketer Colin `Funky' Miller wants to coach the Netherlands at the next World Cup. Well remembered for his wide variety of hair rinses — every colour of the rainbow — Miller won't mind a more permanent position after making a guest coaching appearance with the orange-clad Dutch teams.

Miller represented the Netherlands in 1998 before his debut for Australia and has played two seasons in the Dutch league.

"Coaching is something I've got an interest in," Miller said.

"After this World Cup a lot of their older players will retire. They will lose a lot of players so it would be a good challenge. At that level you could really influence their style of play and help try to establish them as a test-playing nation.

I could pass on the techniques I learned playing with the Australian team."
