Addressing a press conference here today, he said Taj Leisure Hotels had announced a series of initiatives that promised a whole new level of experience. It proposed to launch world-class Spas and exotic restaurants and upgradation of facilities and services across key properties of the hotel. These were part of its strategy to attract a larger share of the high-end leisure traveller. The COO said it had introduced Tamara Spa at the newly refurnished Taj Malabar in Kochi, the newly opened Spa Aguada at the Fort Aguada Beach Resort in Gao and Spa Vyana at Fisherman's Cove in Chennai. These exclusive Spas offered facilities such as an integrated Spa cum salon for men and women with ayurvedic and tropical therapies. The hotel also offered packages for individuals to visit the entire State by interlinking its resorts. It had also introduced kids clubs. When asked whether they were planning to enter into time-share business, he said Taj did not find time-share business as a profitable one. It had nearly 25 resorts in India and five abroad. Taj Leisure Hotels had undertaken two properties on lease.
