Noisy scenes over murder of two TDP men

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD Feb. 18. TDP members created noisy scenes in the Assembly for a brief while on Tuesday over the murder of two party activists allegedly by Congressmen at Kondreddypalli village in Pulivendula constituency in Cuddapah district on Sunday.

They urged the Speaker, K. Pratibha Bharathi, to allow a discussion on a special mention made by the TDP member representing Mydukur constituency, S. Raghurami Reddy. However, the Speaker asked the agitated members to give notice under an appropriate rule. Earlier, Mr. Raghurami Reddy said Chandrasekhar Reddy and Obulesu were done to death by the ZPTC member, his brother and their followers. He said at least 100 people had been killed in the last five years in Pulivendula, which was represented by the Opposition leader, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The Home Minister, T. Devender Goud, said the culprits responsible for the murder would be nabbed. In case the involvement of the ZPTC member was found, the Government would promptly withdraw the official gunman.
