`Trishul diksha'

Jaipur Feb. 18. In spite of a Rajasthan Government move to ban the Bajrang Dal from distributing tridents, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) general secretary, Praveen Togadia, gave `trishul diksha' to over 250 men at a function at Gulabpura in Bhilwara district today.

The VHP and police sources said about 2,000 men were present at the function. Mr. Togadia was scheduled to leave for Pindwara in Sirohi district where stones for the proposed Ram temple at Ayodhya are being carved. The `trishul dikshas' have again come into focus, following the ban move.
