Letters to the Editor
Sir, To speak ill of the deceased is inhuman but I wanted to convey my opinion about the recent decision by various State Governments in introducing awards, re-naming satellites and asking the Indian Space Research Organisation to introduce a special award in honour of Kalpana Chawla. I feel these decisions are made more for emotional reasons than to recognise Kalpana Chawla's achievements. The Government should cease any recognition once an Indian foregoes his/her citizenship, although they have made glorious achievements for the country. Sriram Varadharajan, Los Angeles, U.S.
