`Encouraging' water levels in three reservoirs

HYDERABAD Feb. 20. Despite Osmansagar turning dry, the water levels in three other reservoirs that supply drinking water to the twin cities present a somewhat encouraging picture.

The following are the water levels on Thursday: Himayatsagar - 1,741.260 ft as against full reservoir level (FRL) of 1,763.500 ft; Singur-1,704.250 ft as against 1,717.850 ft and Manjira- 1,648.300 ft as against an FRL of 1,651.750 ft. The water level at the dried up Osmansagar last year was 1,776.940 ft as against an FRL of 1,790 ft.
