By Kanwar Yogendra
At a joint press conference, Union Ministers, Arun Jaitley and Sahib Singh Verma, said construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya was still part of the BJP agenda. The Opposition, which had earlier called the `garbha griha' as disputed, was now objecting to the Centre's appeal to the Supreme Court. Mr. Verma announced that his Ministry would soon launch a social security scheme, which would cover 37-crore workers in the unorganised sector. He said many development projects taken up by the Dhumal Government in the State and generously aided by the Centre would suffer if the BJP was not voted back to power. Mr. Jaitley said the Congress campaign was "full of hysteria and unsubstantiated statements". The people of the State would have welcomed the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi if she had given details of the work carried out by her party when it was in power in the Centre and in the State.
