A journalist attending the match between Canada and Sri Lanka, which lasted only 105 minutes, almost missed the game because he was held up at the checkpoint. The problem was he had a fuel leak and the bomb experts thought it had the potential to blow up.

Sanity prevailed and he was allowed in time to watch Canada being bowled out for a one-day record low 36.
