No vote for AIADMK: Tirunelveli Bishop

By Our Staff Reporter

Tirunelveli Feb. 24. The CSI Bishop in Tirunelveli, Rev. Jayapaul David, today made it clear that Christians in Sattankulam would exercise their franchise against those who enacted the anti-conversion law even after stiff resistance from the minorities. "My stand remains unchanged even after my meetings with Ministers and the Chief Minister. My one-point demand — repeal of the anti conversion law - remains,'' Rev. Jayapaul David, who was returning to Tirunelveli after a brief sojourn in Chennai, told The Hindu over the phone.

"I don't want my people to be perplexed. They would not support the regime, which introduced a law against the welfare of the minorities,'' he clarified.
