Plea on Inter exam centres

By Our Staff Reporter

CUDDAPAH Feb. 27. The ZPTC members of Vontimitta, Siddhatam and Atlur said on Thursday that the new exam centres -- Upparapalli, Madhavaram and Siddhavatam -- were not ideal for the Intermediate Public Examinations and sought continuation of centres like in previous years.

In representations sent to the Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education, B. Kripanandam, and the District Collector, Jayesh Ranjan, the ZPTC members, B. Anatharamaiah (Vontimitta), C.B. Chalamaiah Yadav (Siddhavatam) and A. Ramakrishna Reddy (Atlur), said that the students would face practical difficulties and financial problems to go to new centres. The Upparapalli and Madhavaram centres were over 30 km away from Siddhavatam, they said. In view of drought, poor students would not be able to bear travel expenses of about Rs. 100 and bus facilities and their timings were also improper.
