All-India meet of engg. students

Pondicherry Feb. 28 . Former Professor of Civil Engineering in the Indian Institute of Technology New Delhi, S.Krishnamoorthy has said that day was not far off when the country would be able to produce concrete materials almost matching the strength of steel.

Addressing the staff and students of the Pondicherry Engineering College under an Indian Bank Endowment lecture organised as part of the inauguration of a two-day all India meeting of engineering students here on Thursday, Mr. Krishnamoorthy said concrete material technology, advances in placement methods and technology and innovation in structural design aided by professional computer software had contributed to the development in concrete material and structures in the country
