World Cup
Relatives and friends of Indian cricketers hope that the team will repeat its outstanding performance against England in the match against archrivals Pakistan. Many of them, like Yuvraj Singh's mother and Dinesh Mongia's father, felt that the Indians had struck form, and were now poised to make it to the Super Sixes. Yuvraj's mother, Shabnam Singh, said the India-Pakistan encounter would be of a `do-or-die' nature, adding in Punjabi, "Beta chak de phatte (Son, beat the rivals!)" Yuvraj's coach Sukhwinder Baba said the Indian bowling looked far better than that of Pakistan. He said while the Indians were in good form, Akhtar and Inzamam were yet to get into their element.
