Inflation rate falls

New Delhi MarCH 2. After maintaining an upward trend for four weeks in a row and recording the highest of 5.04 per cent in the current fiscal during the week ended February 8, inflation fell by 0.13 per cent at 4.91 for the week ending February 15, mainly owing to lower prices of manufactured products.

However, the annual rate of inflation for the week was significantly higher by 3.40 per cent than the 1.51 per cent during the corresponding period last year.— UNI
