Charges framed

New Delhi March 3. A Delhi court today framed charges of murder and criminal conspiracy against the senior IPS officer, R. K. Sharma, and five others in journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case.

Holding that a prima facie case existed against Mr. Sharma, co-accused Sri Bhagwan, Sat Prakash, Pradeep Sharma, Ved Prakash alias Kalu and Ved Prakash Sharma, the Additional Sessions Judge, J. M. Malik, said the prime accused, who had physical intimacy with Shivani, got her killed as she threatened to spoil his life and career.

The court fixed March 20 for trial. — PTI
