PUCL award for journalists

NEW DELHI MARCH 4. The 22nd PUCL `Journalism for Human Rights' Award for 2002 will be given to Dionne Bunsha of the Frontline, Y.P. Chhibbar, general secretary, People's Union for Civil Liberties, has said.

A four-member jury also named P.K. Prakash of Madhyamam daily, Ernakulam, for the Special Mention of Rs. 5,000. Ms. Bunsha will get a plaque, Rs. 20,000 and a citation.

The jury consisted of Amrik Singh, former VC, Chaman Lal, Special Rapporteur, NHRC, Narendra Sharma, Editor, Samvad News Agency, and Rajendra Yadav, Editor, Hans.
