Maudani trial adjourned to April 25

By Our Staff Reporter

Kochi March. 4. The trial in as many as 16 criminal cases pending against Abdul Nazer Maudani, PDP chief, now in the Central Prison, Coimbatore, in connection with bomb blast case, was adjourned to April 25 by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, C. C. Scaria.

In fact, Maudani was to have been produced today before the Magistrate. The Superintendent, Central Prisons, Coimbatore, had informed the Magistrate about his inability to produce the PDP chief in view of the Tamil Nadu Government's decision against shuttling between the Kerala and Tamil Nadu courts.

All the 16 cases pending across the courts in the State were transferred to the Magistrate court following a High Court directive.

When the cases were taken up last time, the court had issued a warrant to the Coimbatore Jail Superintendent to produce him today before the court.
