Letters to the Editor
Sir, The article `Stirring a poisonous brew' (March 2) proves that our democracy is still on trial at the hands of self-serving politicians whose deliberate actions would put the nation on the path of communal extremism. There has been a gradual mix up of religion with politics during the Congress rule itself as is evident from the sequential developments related to the Babri Masjid which was allowed to be demolished despite the judicial order to maintain the status quo. The need of the hour is to reverse the present trend in the best interests of upholding the pluralistic harmony.
