According to airline sources here, the daily direct 62-seater ATR flight will leave Chennai at 7 a.m. and reach Madurai at 8.20 a.m. In the return direction, it will leave Madurai at 9 a.m. and arrive in Chennai at 10.20 a.m. The one-way fare for the Madurai from Chennai has been fixed at Rs. 3,365 inclusive of Inland Air Travel Tax. The sources said with this early morning link to the temple town, the airline will be offering convenient onward connections to Mumbai. However, the airline will be withdrawing its ATR flight link between Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram from the same date.
