IBM to network tea auction centres

KOLKATA MARCH 6. The Indian Tea Board has engaged IT solutions giant IBM for implementing its plan of networking all the auction centres by the end of December this year, Tea Board Chairman, N. K. Das, said today.

"We have set the target of networking the auction centres by the end of the calendar year. The plan would be first implemented in the Coimbatore and the Guwahati centres as pilot projects," Mr. Das said on the sidelines of the India International Tea Convention 2003 here today. — UNI
