J.M. Miakhan dead

CHENNAI MARCH 7. J.M. Miakhan, a former member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council and son of Qaid-E-Milleth, died today.

He was 78.

He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

Mr. Miakhan had been a member of the State unit of the Indian Union Muslim League and founder-member of the Qaid-E-Milleth Educational and Social trust.

He was also a managing committee member of the Qaid-E-Milleth College.

The Tamil Maanila Muslim League condoling his death recalled his contribution to the Muslim community.

The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, conveyed her condolences to the bereaved family.
