Water levels drop further in reservoirs

HYDERABAD March 7. Water levels continued to come down in the reservoirs that supply drinking water to the twin cities with Manjira reservoir alone registering a meagre inflow of 0.007 tmcft on Friday.

The following are the water levels: Himayatsagar - 1740.280 feet against the Full Reservoir Level (FRL) of 1763.500 feet; Singur - 1703.480 feet against the FRL of 1717.850 feet and Manjira - 1648.300 feet against the FRL of 1651.750 feet.

The corresponding levels on this day last year at these reservoirs were 1758.550 feet, 1713.420 feet and 1649 feet respectively, a HMWSSB press release said here today.
