New US visa application forms

CHENNAI MARCH 7. Effective March 17, the US Consulates in Chennai and other major metros will accept only the new version of the DS-156 visa application form.

Up to the close of business hours on March 14, either the old or new versions will be accepted. Concurrently, new photo specifications associated with the new DS-156 visa application form will be required, starting March 17. Till the close of business hours on March 14, the previous DS-156 with old photo specifications will be accepted, as will the new DS-156 with its new enlarged photo specifications, says a press release. For more information on the new DS-156 and the new photo specifications, applicants may log onto the U.S. Embassy web site: http://chennai.usconsulate.gov
