U.P. BJP leaders meet Advani

New Delhi March 9. Amid the tape controversy involving the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Mayawati, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of the State unit met the Deputy Prime Minister, L. K. Advani, today to review the political developments.

At the meeting held at the residence of the BJP national president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, the central leadership is understood to have made it clear to the U.P. leadership, which is opposed to continuing in the coalition, that nothing should be done to upset the tie-up in the key State.
