'M.P. must implement EC's orders'

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MARCH 10. The Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded that the Madhya Pradesh Government implement immediately the orders of the Election Commission that a departmental inquiry be undertaken, and action taken against the erring officials in the matter of putting together voters' lists.

The party spokesperson, V.K. Malhotra, said he hoped that the Commission will show as much firmness as it did in Gujarat in getting its orders implemented. He alleged that the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh, was dragging his feet about taking action and this showed that he was part of a conspiracy (``milli bhagat'', was the word he used) on fraudulent and bogus voters' lists.
