Medical camps should be conducted more often and people should be told about various diseases and modern treatment procedures so that they were better informed, he said while inaugurating the World Consumer Rights Day programmes organised by Centre of Indian Consumer Protection and Research (COINPAR) here on Saturday. Inaugurating a seminar on ``Patient rights, safe blood and health delivery systems'', on the occasion, the director of Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), K. Mohandas, said that counselling services should be made use of to make blood donors aware of their responsibilities. Speaking on the occasion, K.A. Kumar, Director of Medical Education, said that better doctor-patient relationships could take care of a majority of complaints in the health sector.
