World Cup
Kenyan captain Steve Tikolo says his squad is looking forward to getting out of the World Cup spotlight and taking a month off cricket. Kenya had an incredible World Cup run, reaching the semifinal against all expectations before succumbing by 91 runs at Kingsmead to an Indian side which was simply far too good for the East Africans. ``There was a lot of pressure on us,'' said Tikolo, ``and we were starting to feel it. It definitely had an effect on us.'' Tikolo, who led his teammates on a lap of honour to generous applause around the Kingsmead stadium, said he was relieved it was all over. ``We handled the pressure pretty well, but it got more and more difficult to concentrate on cricket,'' he said.
