Rural organisers made daily wage staff

Pondicherry March 21. The 25-day old relay fast and strike by rural organisers was called off today after the Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, issued an order, making them daily wage employees in the Department of Rural Development.

According to a communication from the president of the Association of Rural Organisers, R.A. Arumugham, the order would benefit 91 workers.
