Bid on Marandi's life

Ranchi March 21. The former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi, today survived a bid on his life at Porgadhi in Godda district when his car was attacked by about 35 JMM activists during campaigning for the March 24 Poreyahat Assembly by-election. But police opened fire in the air and scared away the attackers. Mr. Marandi escaped unhurt.
