Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram
By Our Staff Reporter
The joint venture comes as part of efforts to provide a marketing impetus for the Milma products of its regional dairy development unions on a national scale. As per the provisos of the tie-up, Mother Foods would hold 51 per cent of the equity in the company with 49 per cent vested with Milma. Neither of the companies is authorised to sell shares externally and only between themselves to pre-empt the possibility of a take-over bid by another firm. Milma Foods is expected to start functioning by mid-April. This is said to be the first joint sector marketing company in the cooperative sector in the State.
