Ansari, who is the prime accused in the American Center attack case in Kolkata, was brought here on March 18 on production warrants issued by two Delhi courts in connection with the two cases. Framing the charges in the case against waging war against the State, the Additional Sessions Judge, S.N. Dhingra, said prima facie there was sufficient evidence on record against Ansari and the two co-accused Arshad Khan and Anita Dass who were alleged to have provided material support to Pakistan-trained militants to carry out terrorist activities. In the conspiracy case, Ansari pleaded not guilty and claimed trial. Earlier, the court read out the charges to him. Mr. Dhingra had on March 5 framed charges against the other seven accused in the case. The trial would begin on April 10.
