CGS centre in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD MARCH 24. The U.S. based $100 million Computer Generated Solutions (CGS) announced setting up of a development centre here, its second in India (after Bangalore) and 22nd globally, to develop a range of software products in the areas of e-learning, CRM, tourism, excise taxation, among others.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Matt Bezinski, Senior Vice-President, technology solutions (global), and Ram Mohan Vedanthan, VP, and Country Manager (CGS India), said they were also scouting for potential partners to undertake call centre operations here and were willing to invest in it. It has a `remote call centre and technical support centre' in Florida (U.S.) with capacity of 500 technicians. With business practices in technology solutions, customer support, learning and application solutions, CGS has a product line which includes ACS Optima (supply chain tool), Blue Cherry (enterprise management tool), Blue Cherry Virual Showroom Online, and Satelite Plus (data collection and information system).

With 50 people in Hyderabad and Bangalore, it plans to double soon, as part of its strategy to expand operations and realise potential offered in Asia, Canada, and the U.S., they said.
