By Our Staff Correspondent

MUMBAI MARCH 24. Videocon International Ltd. (VIL), a leading home appliance and consumer electronics company, is launching a range of 24 new products simultaneously in various categories.

VIL is launching Intelligent series of air conditioners, refrigerators, microwaves and washing machines. VIL has launched six air conditioner models in the split air conditioner category. The category innovated the Quadra Heat Exchanger technology with top discharge to facilitate recycling of waste condensate water. To comply with the PC treaty of 26 nations, VIL has already applied for two patents that are to be soon granted.

The Top Secret series of air-conditioners use new technology wholly researched and developed at the company's R&D facilities and economises between 30 and 80 per cent on power consumption as compared to the conventional split ACs now available.

Sunil Tandon, VP (sales and marketing), said, "Over the last five years, VIL has invested more than Rs. 15 crores to come up with this air-conditioner.'' In addition, during the summer of 2003, Videocon will launch its range of Watermatic refrigerators.
