Stop the war: TDP

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MARCH 24. The Telugu Desam Party today urged the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, to protest the U.S. violation of international law and advise Washington to stop the war against Iraq.

The TDP Rajya Sabha leader, C. Ramachandraiah, in a letter to Mr. Vajpayee, requested him to "raise our voice of protest against the ongoing U.S. violation of international law. It is our duty to advise them and request them to immediately stop the war and allow the U.N. to perform its duties.''

Mr. Ramachandraiah said in a short span of 50 years, humanity was once again being threatened with the return of the old order, which was the law of the jungle, where the mighty subjugate the weak.
