Tata Steel expansion plan

MUMBAI MARCH 26. Tata Iron and Steel Company's board has given its in principle approval to install balancing facilities at a cost of Rs. 1,995 crores to increase production of crude steel from four million tonnes to five million tonnes per annum.

The board's formal approval to the expansion plan would be obtained in due course, the company informed the BSE.
