By Our Staff Reporter
The court cancelled the bail of the first accused, K.K. Philip (formerly superintending engineer) and the third accused, P. Ramakrishnan (formerly executive engineer). Both have been remanded to the Attakulangara sub-jail. The second accused, A.Y. Abraham, (Government contractor), died during the trial period. The prosecution case is that the accused had entered into a criminal conspiracy to facilitate the Government contractor to earn undue pecuniary advantage in the execution of the left bank canal formation work in Kottiyam branch of the KIP project (R.B Circle) during the 1990-91 period.
