Though it was feared to be pneumonia, it was later found to be a case of chronic bronchial asthma, Airport Authority of India sources said today. After doctors' confirmation, the passenger was allowed to proceed. Meanwhile, two medical centres have been opened in the international terminal of the NSC Bose International Airport for passengers flying in from pneumonia-affected countries in South-East Asia. The sources said though no pneumonic cases had yet been detected at the airport, appropriate measures had been taken. Two well-equipped medical centres have been set up and arrangements made to take passengers to the State-run infectious diseases hospital in the metropolis, if infection is detected. PTI
